The idea for Garden Gorilla came about when Tony tried to find an allotment to grow produce for the dinner table, just as he did with his father as a child.

After a lot of emails to his local council it became obvious that allotments were in short supply so he joined an eight year waiting list and dug up the end of his garden.

Being an impatient kind of person he got together with friends and together they set out to put food production back on the menu along with all the benefits that it brings.

We began with primary school plots and we're developing a supporting  program of education and activities for all.

Now we're moving on to other sites in the hearts of communities and workplaces.
